Dr. Atefeh Shamsi is an Assistant Professor of Nursing with a PhD specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) orientation. She is affiliated with the Nursing Care Research Center at the Faculty of Nursing, Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Her research focuses on neonatal care, maternal empowerment, breastfeeding self-efficacy, and the application of digital health technologies—particularly telenursing—in improving post-discharge outcomes for preterm infants and their mothers. With multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, Dr. Shamsi actively contributes to advancing evidence-based practices in neonatal nursing and telehealth interventions.
